Howdy, folks! Like the title says, I'm wondering if I can get away without the gasket. I ordered the catalytic converter online, but lacked the foresight to add the gasket to my basket. Of course, none of the FLAPS carries the correct gasket (NAPA can order it, but I need to put the whole thing back together today).

Any thoughts, advice, workarounds, words of encouragement/disparagement appreciated!

Thanks,
James

Yeah, it will leak without it. If you squeeze a liquid sealer it there it may ruin your Convertor! Don't even try it........ $$$$$

The heat is intense, suffer with a leak for a few days and then put in the gasket when it arrives.

Cool, thanks for the advice, djkeev! I did think about squeezing The Right Stuff in there, but I wasn't confident that it could withstand the burn. Glad I didn't follow through with it.
