In a orienteering race on Saturday and one of the controls was a "vehicle wreck" This is what we found!
Think we can save her?

Undesirable year or model? Its got a split windshield doesn't it?
But yeah that one looks like it might be better to find another. But at least pull her out a pull every usable part and panel.
Just realize in ten years you will say I scrapped better buses than what is available today. _________________ Looking for anything from Hal Casey Motors out of Hamburg New York, from license plate surrounds to matchbooks.

Maybe -need to see a few more angles. "worth it?" needs a better definition in relation to this bus. More pictures would help. Looks pretty bad... and being from NS... I don't know. |

The angle of the pic doesn't help, but it seems like the nose is pointing away... Are there any pillards left ? |

Not saying its impossible....however Im sorry to say, you should consider this one done for in my book....unless you just wanna pull off something insane. I can see from the pic there doesnt appear to be any drip rail left in the front and on the passenger side, this door hinges are in the closed position but the door is open and sagging in on itself and worst of all the front drivers side pillar appears to be seperated from itself and the roof.....being buried THAT far into the ground I can only imagine what the lower 12" of that bus looks like....
.....being a fried egg panel, I hate to say this one is about like a black dog at a animal shelter, not likely to be adopted.
but it doesnt have to die for nothing, I see alot of possibly good parts to rescue....Could live on in spirit if nothing else. _________________ 1957 Lowlight

I usually say yes to all can be saved... buuuut looking at the way the nose is saging. It looks like the bottom of the nose is detached and pulled forward, look at the window frames in relation to the top, and the angle of the split frames. The drip rails are gone... On top of that it looks like the rest is pretty crusty, and it's sunken into the ground. The bottom might have returned to mother earth.... Unless it's that red single that the guy dug out that was in pretty good shape. This may be a "pass". _________________ BarryL wrote:

You know how you carve your pumpkin and then a few day's later you're too lazy to throw it away and some heat comes and then you see ooze and it's sagging and bulging from it's own top and you try to pick it up and. |

Xonemillion here. Good luck picking that thing up. Although they did pick up the sunken norway samba out of the lake, but that water was cold. _________________ Waiting for santa to drop off funky green. I can wish can't I???? |
