Hi all sorry to be so dumb but I'm new to all of this.
I have a 63 sundial with 40/60 or 1/3 -2/3 front seats which I added after I bought it as previously it had some horrible Bug rear seat combo being used as a bench seat.
So this is what it looks like now:
My question is how are they supposed to be correctly mounted?
Should there be a base or should they sit directly on the metal as they do in the picture?
There is a bracket on the front of them that slots into a gap on the front of the base but nothing at the rear of the seats to stop them tipping forward.
Is that correct or should there be a bar and brackets at the rear/ top of the backrest? I have seen earlier bench seats had welded brackets on the inside of the van and a pole that ran along the back of the seats to hold them in place.
Please help even if I am asking a daft question.
Thanks,
Ian |

drivers side has tracks for the seat to be adjusted
pass side has two hooks in front that work as a hinge to lift forward
only thing else they have are rubber pieces to sit so they are not metal to metal _________________ '60 15 window walkthrough
