Seat covers have been ordered twice for these poor seat and We can't seem to get the right ones. First set was orederd for '74 and down by the owner, which seams obviouly wrong before fitting them. And to no surprise they didn't fit. I ordered the second set specifically for a 74-76 seat, and it doesn't come close to fitting. The problem lies with the driverseat. It has bolstered like sides and not so much flat bottom and back like the ones these covers are sewed up for.

Anyone else deal with this problem?

I'll be calling TMI next week to see what they say, but the last two sets cam from them. Almost ready to just repair the old drivers seat bottom and roll on like that. Not worth the fuss. Shocked Cool

These are the seats.

I don't care how you stretch it, these aren't going to fit.

Piss on the suppliers. Take your old ones and have them remade.

I think the seat is more like a 77-79 seat withough the headrest. I'm leaning towards getting them re-made off the originals.

Let me know where to get that material! I need alabaster square weave for my '72's 1/3 -2/3 front seat, too. Speaking of, where to get alabaster vinyl for the side wall panels?

TMI offers material in bulk.

I'll be interested to know where you come out with this, as I need to do the same thing for my 1/3 2/3 seats in the '75 single cab.

I've worked with Sewfine in the past, and will be consulting them on this. I would expect better luck with them than with TMI. In fact, I am dropping by their new place in Denver next week to see what they have to help me out. Let's keep in touch about this, as we are two with the same problem.

BTW, what is the country of origin for your '75 DC (from the M-code plate)?

I understand what you're saying as I have had to to that in the past, but no matter how you stretch, pull, sit, squish, these covers are not sewn up in the correct pattern.

TMI is currently researching my covers to get me the right one. I still think all I need is a 77-79 bucket seat cover.

Part # on the backrest only 211 881 705 L

TMI sent me a 77-79 bucket seat cover and it fits.

Not sure what to do about some of the ill fitting aspects of the covers though, tried sewing it up a bit, but was too much gap in the material to pull together without looking like shit. Still looks like shit.

Not sure what to do with this, other than just live with it.

Don't look awful, but not as good as I had wanted.
