Gizmo, is this the same FB? I liked the fuel pump keeping the car from rolling away.

Hey all,

Thanks for another great classic! As always, it's great seeing new and old faces alike. Apologies for spending less time in the type3 section this year, I had to balance my time in the vanagon section as well because Natalie drove my multivan with a few other friends.

Thanks also to the early risers who participated in the cruise, I love the faces of everyone else on the freeway who stare at us like we have 10 heads. The ISP BBQ was great as always too. Funnily enough, I feel like I always get to talk to people more there than at the classic.

I'll be postin my pictures up soon, but I only have about 10. Stay tuned for another random cruise day, I'll start working on one when work calms down next month!

I've seen people pull off wheels and tires, even brake drums to show off the detail an workmanship. But, I have never seen anyone go as far as removing the chrome moulding before. Maybe as to show detail to the clips that hold it?? Who knows. I also like the 42 wheels of assorted styles. This guy must get alot of flats.

Chip, I have not laughed this hard in a VERY long time! Awesomeness! Laughing x 1000!!!!!!

Thanks dude. I'll pass. $1500 in gas to haul her out there isn't worth it anymore. I have more fun driving around Denver then dealing with all the show drama out there. The shows out here are much more chill and laid back. It's more about the beer and trying to stay cool in the heat then it is about the cars now. Laughing

Thanks Erik! just saw this thread and showed Amii.

I do have to admit.. I don't understand why they did away with the typical Vintage / Custom 1st - 3rd place awards... but my wife did benefit from the new awards also! She was so excited and surprised!

Maybe the right approach is to do maybe just 1st and 2nd place in each class and then do the new awards on top of those?

I was bummed for Soul's notch.. after seeing it in person it's a gorgeous stock car.. easily worthy of a 1st place in any Stock / Vintage Type 3 class.

It was a fun weekend! Great to catch up with all the other Type 3 nerds out there and see my old T34 again!

Gotcha, sounds good to me. I gotta fix my oil cooler problem first though... It decided to puke oil all over my otherwise clean engine on the way back from the classic, yay.
