I own a late 59, 2400950. It's an areo silver all original low mileage car. The seats are still original though the seat bottoms are worn through. It would be a great car if it wasn't for all the rust. I think the car was in So cal for a while where fine dust packed in behind the mud plates, into the rockers, around the rear wheel arches... The car then found its way to So Lake Tahoe, hello salty roads, good bye ghia sheet metal. I am considering finding a good 59 body, painting it aero silver and swapping all the parts, which are all in great condition! I even found OG fabric to repair the front seats.

I will be getting my Ghia vert (do verts count in this?) this coming weekend and finish putting it back together. If I recall it is a late 59. I will post the Vin when I get it and share the pics. Gettin' stoked! Smile

That '59 the guy pulled out of Redding is a cream puff compared to this one! He gets extra style points for using a spare roof clip to hide the rust.

Hey - are you knocking my '59?? Very Happy

I'm 3rd owner.
Originally bought by Mrs Doussette in Salem NH.
Sold by his son last November to Antonio in Youston TX, and sold to me 1 month after.

And you?

Grailoc, is this your car listed on ebay? The interior looks different...

EDIT: just noticed the bumpers are different, and the roof isn't black...not the same car. How many red 59 lowlights are in QC? Shocked odd.

That ghia is not mine. I`ve already seen it for sale on ebay a while ago.
About the rear bumper it looks to come from a more recent model late 60 early 70.
About early ghia in Quebec, hmmm... minus that one for sale and mine, I never seen other ones.

Order your Ghia's birth certificate from the Wolfsburg Museum: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=95862

Not only will it give you the month but it will give you the day and a lot of other interesting information.
