Hi folks,
I'm looking for some help.
My boss's august 1949 beetle is missing its left hand lower door hinge. I was just wondering if there's a source for reproduction split hinges (we would rather genuine originals but the chances of getting one is unlikely). Because as we've found out they're totally different to later 6volt beetle hinges.
Here's some pictures of the right hand lower hinge.
Any help is greatly appreciated

That would work if we had a spare top hinge. We have the two top ones, and only the right hand bottom one _________________ Collector of all things Volkswagen, Hazet and Matra.

How does the hinge compare to one off a 54 door? |

In 54' they reinforced the hinge so it wouldn't crack, one of the original ones we have is slightly cracked. We were trying to avoid grinding a 54 hinge down, if these repro hingesfall through that'll be our backup _________________ Collector of all things Volkswagen, Hazet and Matra.

If you don't have any luck and need a 54 hinge I have a few. |
