No matter where I pry or push, I cannot get the valve stems for the stove to protrude from the front trim panel so I can screw those panel nuts back on.

The trim panel lines up fine with the 2 side screws and the lip goes into the stainless edge on the burner/sink pan.

I also cannot push the bottom edge of the trim panel anymore...

Ideas??

I had the same issue after testing my panel back from the group powdercoat. Make sure the lip of the stainless steal stove top is lined up in the groove at the top of the panel.

I used a rubber mallet to "persuade" the lip to fit back into the groove.

Nope - the lip will move no further -- no matter how many hammer hits.

I can however see that the burner assembly is a bit flexible - but my hand can't get back there to move it.

any ideas??

Gently grab the valve stem with pliers and pull the threaded part out a little till the nut starts.
