Shocked

I know that this is NOT Mike Fisher from Harrisburg, but a Michael Fischer from Salem is a Samba user and I was curious if this is the same guy- Anybody know?

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=20527

It's not a common name, esp. with the German spelling of Fischer. This is the guy who was infamous for running spindle mounts with no brakes back in the Rants days.

If it is the same Michael:

RIP, friend!

And I did a search before posting this- if there's already another thread, lock this one, of course.

When I moved from So Cal to Salem I was looking for a Vw shop to work on my project ragtop, that's when I met Mike, he took a few hours to go over my bug with me and my son. I will never forget Mike for making me feel so welcome at his shop, he always had a smile on his face. Mike I will always be grateful and will miss you. Louis

He was a great guy and although I never met him in person, he was a true friend I talked to him all the time. If you could get a hold of him he was always willing to help.
