this bus started it's life as a '60 walkthru panel that had a tree fall on it about 10 years ago
about a year ago another friend of mine picked up this bus and desided it would be the prefect base for a 15w project
so he cut the top off a 15w from the maple valley find which was super rusty and not worth fixing

I'd be happy and proud to drive it. Nice saves. They both live on through one another. |

the only thing i would have done differently, if it was going to be that heavily modified, is to raise the taillight holes up to the earlier height
i don't understand why vw decided to lower the tailight position
imo high taillights look so much better; and they are more visable _________________ WANTED:

i like it. I would sell the deluxe stuff, though, and make it a 15 window standard like they did in brazil. Get a gray panel kit from clara, done. let them scratch their heads at the shows _________________ regards

the plan so far is to do a mild drop and make it a reilable driver for now
this winter i will turn it into a '56 ish era bus with all the correct part and look
haven't decide on paint or trim yet that part is several months away
inside i already have a cab set from clara and the rest will be the wood panels with a z-bed _________________ '60 15 window walkthrough

I injured both my knees last june so nothing has really been done to it
I did collect all the pieces I need to build a engine for it and have starting cleaning and mocking it up
but i'm still not 100% and can only work out there about an hour or so a day so it's going very slowing _________________ '60 15 window walkthrough

Doesn't look that bad? What was so rusty? Still see dog leg and rocker panel intact? |
