Thanks Roland Exclamation

A full compliment of wind wings and a rubber mat.
I think we are bordering on Cadillac territory here Laughing

Still don't know how many pieces the panel was either...although I can almost imagine a seam behind the middle seat in the bottom photo!

So evidently you have determined the panels were secured with small screws. And that type of paneling would have needed the larger washers like you say under the screw heads to keep the panels from pulling off.

As far as how many panels and where a joint might be you snould be able to determine that by the original holes in the body. Notice how mine have two rows of holes at the panel joint.

And here's the pages from the Aug 67 parts book regarding M502 sidewall lining and M503 roof lining, no drawings but a comprehensive inventory of the parts and fasteners.

I just got a 78 kombi, it has grey primer back cargo area. A po did slap some white in it but it is peeling off nicely. Very Happy Borninabus, you should come over and look at my kombi, it has the panels! Laughing

So far as I can tell, Dorpers (Canadian camping conversion) were ordered as Kombis (mine is a 234 VIN). It has a headliner that ends at the rear of the cab, non-trimmed bulkheads, and beige paint behind the cab. There is a heat outlet between the bulkheads but none in the rear.

I've read that Dorpers were ordered with a sunroof option; feel free to correct me if that's not right.

The trim aft of the cab is almost all tacky fake-oak and (non-matching) unidentifiable fake-something paneling which I'm sure was added by Dorper back when fake stuff was popular. If the interior wasn't so useful, I'd tear it out and turn the Bus back into a proper Kombi.

Can I see the beige paint please? I want to know the difference between the grey and the beige color.

Check this rare bird out! A yellow 76 Kombi, no smoking windows at all, partial headliner, 3 person middle seat.
