I have seen panel vans with and without upper rear quarter vents. These are the vents that are above the vents near the motor area
Can anyone tell why some panels have these and others do not? |

Busses with walk-through front seats do not have the vents up top, but non walk-through's (bench seat) have the vents up top in the rear of the bus.
Went to the "Archive" tab and selected "Press Photos" and it shows you a bunch of pictures of original panels. Here are two that show you what I spoke of above.
This one is a non walk-through as you can see the bulkhead and the panel divider separating the front cabin and the cargo area.
This one has a shot of the walk-through front bench seat, and you can see how the vents are not present in this model

Thank you for that information. Any idea of why that is?
Why would the walk through buses not need upper rear quarter vents? |

Added some photos for visual aid.
My guess (don't quote me on this), but being that walk-through busses allowed ventilation to the rear of the bus, where bench seat models came standard with a panel divider separating the rear of the bus front the cab. The vents in the upper rear kept it from getting musty/humid back there?
Thats my take on it. |
