|
|
Hi to all,
When we open the rear hatch door, on the upper left and right sides, there is small rubber hose. Both need to be replace. I think they bring current for the wiper and/or liquid and Defrost for the window, but i am nor sure.
Is somebodies know where to get those hoses, i haven't find them on Van-Cafe neither Gowesty website.
ALso, are they quite easy task to replace them?
Many thanks in advance! _________________ Martin from Montréal

They used to be at Van-Cafe
Rear Hatch Grommet (Passenger side)
> > *251.971.840 * 1 $11.50
> > Rear Hatch Grommet (Driver's side)
> > *321.971.840 * 1 $9.95 $9.95
They are not easy to replace, but doable. Requires removing the rear hatch panel, disconnecting all the wires and tubing (maybe even removing the wires from the connectors) pulling all these out of the hatch, threading all this through the new grommets and reinstalling everything.
Let us know if you find these for sale again. _________________ 1987 Syncro Westfalia, stock (bought 1994)

Martin just go to Canadien Tire and buy some 13 mm grommets, cut them and slip them in, use a little silicone rtv to keep them in place and to seal the split. Maybe .39 each.
The best price I have found on the windshield wiper hose is the Auto parts warehouse, it's $6.95 for 5 meters. Enough to do both front and back washer nozzles.

They also have other vanagon parts I bought some new side markers for around $7.59 each, might be more now just search w0133 for all vanagon parts, the side markers are W0133-1633096.

What a great idea!
Many thanks!
Martin
BTW i just got the answer from Van-Cafe :
Hi Martin,
They don't exist anymore. Both VW of America and Germany have deleted them from their inventory.
Sorry,
Mike Evans
