Before u toss it , see if Dpr or demello can repair it. Other than tge the obvious, any takes on what caused it? Something fall in the chamber or hydro lock, etc? Oil starvation.

After more looking at it isee multiple cracks on the journals. May not be worth the cost repair if it even can be.

A little history on this crank..

I bought it from a guy that raced vintage midget circle track cars. It was turned .010 & .010 and the case it was in had some battle scars from losing a rod or piston etc.

I put it all together with new bearings etc, and it ran great for about a year or so... then I put the turbo on and it ran even better.

Earlier this year I overboosted/detonated and cracked two cylinders... I replaced the cylinders and rings and ever since it had oil pressure issues, and would lose prime.

I think it had a hard life on the dirt track... but I probably put the last nail in the coffin when I popped those cylinders.

I think it's a bit mean to be making jokes.

Smile Those mains look like a oil starving problem.

Get a case of JB Weld and make it into a lamp and smile every time the lamp light up.

Oh, I think the OP got it a heavily overboosted engine can have one cylinder firing on the upstroke while the next is firing on the down...

Oh, lighten up. I was being facetious.

I do actually feel sorry for the guy, in fact I almost shed a tear myself at the death of an Okrasa.

Fatigue. The beachmarks center around the oil hole.

That's not broken. It's a 2 piece racing crank.

crack evident.... gues if it didnt crack where it did now
it would have cracked on the other side of the same journal

That's not uncommon to see with Midget cranks constant RPM's in those cars is 5000 to 8500.
I worked for Auto-Craft in the 80's and have seen many come in with cracks in the center main.

There is a reason people say you need a type 4 center main Wink
