sorry i missed my favorite show of the year.
we have moved to south carolina and were not in the area.
next year i WILL NOT MISS the 10th anniversary show and hope to be there with a borrowed vw(hint to my vw bros)
the cjvws should be proud of what they've created.

It's all about leadership and training when it comes to the dub push....
Rumor has it the SPVC team owner had these guys pulling overloaded rickshaws for weeks just to get them ready for this year's event.

I was wondering what the heck happened to my pan the next morning- I'll forever have some melted plastic and burn marks to remember you all fondly. Twisted Evil

It was Jim Phillips' idea. I just happened to be holding a torch in my hand at the moment.

The show was super-fun this year. Having the clubhouse available is what made the rain a non-issue on Sat. night. Having such a great group of people run the show is why we all keep coming back, sometimes from a long way away. My '61 bus made it back home with no problems. Thanks to Jdot for supplying me with some engine oil so I could do an oil change at the campground after loosing my fan belt on the way down.

Here are some of my pictures.

Cruising down behind Allyn Devars in his '61 Mango. This was before my fan belt broke.

Your timing is impeccable. For anyone who had to leave before receiving their awards they will be available to pick up at the upcoming Englishtown Fall Show & Go on October 20th at the CJVWS trailer. After that we will be using them for our kid's lunches and to store spare parts in my garage - so get them while you can.

FYI, the south philly VAN club has one day trail memberships that we issue once a year.
and let's not forget all the work that manny "the coach" aka "mannyger" and myself, team owner did to make our team a consistent winner.

You fella's enjoy it while you can. The word is Brian C. and the guys from the Simple Transport show almost put one on you... pushing a BAY WINDOW BUS. Next year, I hear they're bringing a beetle.

I don't know where they got that from, that bus almost slammed into the rear bumper of our beetle after we crossed the finish line ahead of them and our driver hit the brakes, that's a whole car length at the very least, I would not call close at all.
Maybe if they ran their first heat against the North Jersey Club they would've had a chance, cause those guys are pitiful, but the end result against us would've been the same, in any round of competition.

I got this Gibbs, you just keep signing checks, this is what I'm here for.

Should've, Could've, would've, it's all this Monday morning quarterbacking at this point, everyone knew we were coming to beat them and we did just that, I personally claimed victory months in advance and continued to bring attention to our team until the very last moment because I knew our guys and woman were ready for the challenge, without going into detail of our operation, I will say that one of our guys changed his diet to low fat sour cream in his burritos and chimichangas for months just to be in top physical condition for this race, Where was the DVG this year? there were enough members there, including "Mr.010" Glenn Ring to push a car, and what about the South Jersey club, two of them showed up dressed as bananas, and I give those two guys all the credit they deserve, they were the brave ones, they represented correct in their usual attire, the rest of them stayed home to avoid being embarrassed by us. So don't try to spoil our victory after the fact, when everyone had a chance to spoil it in the battle field.

All this smack talk would be better backed up if you actually pushed a car next year, Manny. You've got a year to get ready, so I hope to see you on the "battle field" instead of watching from the sidelines like everyone else you just named.
