I have plenty more but you get the point. You're right, it probably wasn't worth driving to pick up this free Bus. I'll anxiously await photos of all of the adventures you've had in that rusty piece of shit you have for sale right now in the classifieds.

So... that rusty piece of crap is more reliable, drives farther and hauls more than 3/4s of the buses out there? Priceless! Very Happy We need a pic of a pony in it.

I've changed my mind, what a turd, it's only redeeming feature is it's capable of driving it'self over the scale at the scrap yard! Very Happy Wink

I, too, am glad to see this thread again. When you first went to get this bus, I was in the "WTF were you thinking?" crowd. But as the years (and adventures) have came and gone, I've came to admire your RustyBus and enjoy reading about the fun times y'all share! Peace!

Rustybus has been so faithful, it seems to me he deserves a body restoration. It's probably not feasible though. Like I said earlier, my bus, same year and colors, is just as rusty if not more and the nose is dented heavily. I'm gonna do my best to make it look pretty, though, since it gave me many good years of service.

Thanks guys, looking at all of those pics was a trip down memory lane for sure. This Bus has been an incredible companion to me over the past 6 years and it isn't going anywhere anytime soon. In the tens of thousands of miles I've put on it since I wasted my time and money dragging it home it's only broken down once...for a broken fuel line less than 40 miles from home on the return of a 1000 mile trip. Rather than screw around with it in the pouring rain on the side of a busy highway I decided to put my AAA to good use. Plenty of more miles and more adventures left in the old girl, but I think any type of restoration is all but out of the question. People thought it was too rusty in 2007 when I dragged it home and it hasn't gotten better with age believe me. Mechanically, it's awesome. Everything works, all of the electrical works, brakes stop on a dime. I have plenty more pics but I think that pretty well illustrated my point. Thanks for the kind words guys!!
