If u have good compression and only drive as u said i wouldn't worry about it, it's the long hard runs that would add up.

If you feel that you must use that stuff, at least read the label and do not use a whole bottle in a ten-gallon-tank. It is made to dilute twenty gallons of fuel and when you use too much, it can't burn and leaves crusty residue.

For those of us of an age where we drove cars both pre- and post-lead, there is no question of the damage done to engines not designed to run on unleaded. Let's move on.

So what can you do today? As posted, if you don't drive much or under heavy loads and rpm, do nothing. The damage is cumulative but slow. But if it is your daily driver, it will be well worthwhile to do a modern head rebuild on it using current materials. How will you use your car?

Agree, and just a note; it is illegal to run leaded fuel in a automotive application on the street. The only place you can get REAL leaded fuel is at the airport or some racetracks. Piston engine planes still use leaded fuel (100LL). You see the government knows the harmful effects on engines that were not designed for unleaded fuel, problem is they don't care if it hurts older cars-engines, but they do care about airplanes falling out of the sky with a burnt valve.
