Did I miss it... or did no one start a thread for this show, drag race, & swap ?
It's only a couple weeks away.

Will be there, possibly racing a rental car. If not, then will be set up in the swap meet with some stuff.
For the first time ever though, we will have an influx of NEW racers to the Englishtown VW event. I started a race series called VW Heritage and our class name is I/Gas...just like the old days. Englishtown is our last race of the year where a points champion will be crowned and could walk away with over $1400 CASH if they can win everything.
Our previous races we had car counts of 17 and 20 just in this class and with NJ being a bit of a drive for some people, we are realistically looking at about 14-16 racers coming to run that most, have never been down this track before.
Also look for a very fast street legal bug to come up from Maryland and run the heads up class.
Remember...you do not have to go fast to race. Anyone can race ANY kind of VW or Audi. Stock or modified...it is only $25 to enter the Trophy class. All you need is long pants, a tee shirt and helmet. You can even rent a helmet for $3 from the track if you do not have one. Would be nice to see some first timers out there having fun. |

Going to be fully rigged and loaded for the swap this time; roof rack, trailer, and parts in the bus.
Gotta clear some stuff out. Be ready to rummage through the dollar bin!

Now this sounds promising !
I can't wait
For those that don't already know... this swap has been known to just about run out of room in years past...so get there early if you are going to swap.
There's usually some very fast VWs going down the track too.
Another highlight of the Show & Go
Any chance this could be a Sticky since it's like two weeks away ? _________________ Drive your VW... That's what it was made for.

I'm looking forward to this event as well. It's always been a nice way to cap off the show season. If anyone has any five lug German front drums for a '67 Beetle or a 145 SR 15 tire with good rubber I'm your buyer. _________________ www.cjvws.com

It's listed under the October events on E-town's website..
Scroll down about 3/4 of the way...
http://www.etownraceway.com/schedule.aspx
I have not seen a show flyer or even a general web page resembling a show flyer this year, which is strange.
This is the only actual show info I have.
Not sure about the show or race cars, but they *usually* start letting the swappers in a little earlier then 8:00 to get to set up.

Go to. etownraceway.com
Click in the middle of the home page, on the VW show logo.
It opens up into a new window
Now, on the bottom hit "click here" and it will bring up the back of the flyer.
It is a great way to end the show and the only local one that has races |

Really looking forward to the show, lots of chatter about the swap so expect a good one. Bring yer shopping list. If anyone is looking for a set of polished, thin lipped, early Riviera's, I got a set off my '69 I'm looking to sell. $400 obo with near new tires [145's and 185's]. Here's what they looked like on my '69.
Let me know if you are interested and I'll bring them down.

Forecast is Sunny in the mid 60's with 0% chance of rain. A perfect way to wrap up the 2013 season.

Hoping to make it. Looking for a '67 or earlier steering column, a working thermostat, bracket and connecting rod for a 1600cc engine. _________________ Mike B. |
