Ordered a 74 Bug part from Chris. Came well packaged and in a very timely manner. No complaints. I'm surprised that a lot of sellers here seem like they don't have the time to exchange info with their buyers. Chris is not one of these kinds of sellers. He answered every question I had about his merchandise. I would definitely purchase from him again. |

Wow, this is not what happened.
Paypal was sent to me on the 21st(sat) and I went to ship the parts on Friday the 27th.
I normally ship once a week.
When I went to ship I found out Gary did not send his address.
I checked with paypal but they didn't have it.
Yes normally paypal has your address but they don't have yours.
I emailed Gary and asked for his address the same day but thought I couldn't get it out until Wednesday and I told him this. Gary emailed back with his address in one email and then sent another saying:
"Are you kidding me? I sent you payment on 4/21 and now you're telling me you can't even ship until 5/2? How about a refund?"
I made an extra trip to Fedex to get the parts out Monday morning.
If he had said I don't need the parts please send a refund I would have. Just saying how about a refund didn't tell me he didn't want the parts. I thought he didn't want to wait until Wednesday so I made time to get them out Monday morning.
I may not be the fastest shipper but I do my best to do the right thing.
If anyone has a question about shipping times, please ask.
Chris |

I picked up a bug trans from Chris at his yard, and while I don't have it in yet, everything seems good with it. Chris is a friendly guy, and even though I called him shortly before he closed up, he was very accommodating, and gave me what I feel to be a good deal. He even took the axles off the trans for me since I only needed the center section.
I'd buy from him again, thanks Chris! _________________ -Adam

When I first bought the car from him it seemed like an easy transaction, nice guy. He told me the car was non op and no back fees should be due on the car. When i went to the DMV to register the car and transfer the title there were $677 worth of fees to be paid. I called him and he said the DMV was wrong and that i need to go back and tell them that. He also said that the car was of historic value so there shouldn't be any penalties or fees. I went back down to the DMV and they said they could only wave the penalties for it not being registered for the past 7 years. I called him again and asked him to give me the money for the registration fees for when he owned the car which was $256, he refused. This guy is a lying jerk who just likes to scam people for their hard earned money. |

My turn.
I bought a 68 bay from Chris and even though I'm over in England everything went smoothly, so far!
It arrives in two weeks so I'll update my story later but so far I'm happy with the way the deal has gone.
Thanks. _________________ 55 Vert, 56 Ghia, 56 Bug, 57 Ghia, 58 Ghia.

Bus arrived as described without any problems or issues.
I'd happily deal with Chris again in the future.

Be very leary of buying from Chris, I was stupid enough to buy a Vanagon from him a couple years ago. He is in with a tow company that basicly steals cars that people leave on the street to long then sells them saying that they were abandoned. When I tryed to get it registered the DMV said it was reported stolen. The cop that showed up was nice enough to let me get in contact with the real owner before he would impound it. Contacted the owner and Chris, Mr. Morrice gave the money i paid him to the owner and she then sent me the title and the keys. But the owner never contacted the DMV or police to remove it from the stolen list. So when I tryed to get it registered it showed it was still stolen and the police towed it out of my garage even though I had the title in my hand. $350+ later I was able to get it out of impound. Got it registered and thought it would be a good idea to drive it to work. Well about half way there I look out the mirror and saw smoke. Before I could get out the fire extingusher it went up like a candle.
I drove to Oakland from Boise, ID and all I have to show for it is some burns on my arm trying to save it. Lesson learned and I hope this helps anyone doing business with him. Beware!!! _________________ ShultzRoadHouse
