Recently picked up a pair of NOS rubber wiper grommets for the 53. I only have the outers.
Does anyone have pics of the inner rubber part that goes behind front panel please?
Anyone have some inners for sale or know where I can get them.
pics and size info would be a great help. or alternatives for the inner part.

Hi Mike,
those are the inner one`s you are looking for:
And you are not aloe, I am in the same situation as you. Have found the outers but can`t get the inner one`s. And I have tried it for "some" time...
Maybe the inner one`s could be self made with two pieces. One big and a small glued together, or ??? Maybe someone has already made a solution that work`s?
Anyone got the dimensions of the inner? That would be very helpfull.

These are my NOS originals. Very hard to find the inner grommets.
Snapped these pics of the dimensions with my digital calipers. I hope it helps.

Hey Pitbull ...... ........ 10 Foot Doug has made a batch of the outter grommets - 211 955 265. I'd talk to him about reproducing the inner grommets, possibly using yours as templates?? His outter ones came out pretty nice. I'm going to rock them on my other 54. I will bring them out to the next show so you can check out the quality. If I'm mistaken, some Brits have bought a few sets??

I didn't know 10 Foot Doug was doing the grommets. If he needs my original inner as a template, it would be no problem.

I don't see why not. I mentioned this to Comrade Doug so its a matter of him and Pitbull hooking it up. If this goes down, I will keep you guys posted as Comrade is on slow mode |

I will also contact 10 foot Doug and try to get this going. So everyone interested please stand by for status. I can provide my NOS inner grommet but it's really up to Doug and his schedule.

Que pasa hermano!? I spoke to Comrade last night and is totally down for repro'n your inner grommets. He told me he got your message but is super busy at the moment, but will respond and get with you. He said he will be making both the grommets in the near future ...... so all you BD guys stay tuned.
Thanks Eddy, this really helps us all out. Gibbs hooked up Comrade with the outter grommets and they look bitchin. |
