Gonna keep her stock. With a possibility of a 2 1/2 inch drop. Still don't know about that.
Everything seems to be there. I'm quite happy with this project.
Don't know much about Type14's but with thesamba.com, the bentley book, and my friend Owen we'll make this a hot little number.

What's this Bentley book everyone's talking about? And where can I buy one?
My 68 is in much the same condition as your car. Same colour to, and I think it was also on a red interior. Someone has done a very poor paint job (blue-green) on it and re-upholstered the seats and sides in beige.
I'll follow your progress. I think I can learn from you. |

You can often pick up a nice used copy of the Bentley manual for $25 to $50 at swap meets or by doing a search in the classifieds here on The Samba.
Although I didn't see the one you need listed in the classifieds today, I did see this ad:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1295400
You might try contacting him to see if he has one.
I believe that you could also find used copies on Amazon as well. |

Nice job looks like a solid project. Keep up the good work, the last 10% is the hardest. _________________ If you take time to do it, do it right and don't be so damn cheap.....🤙🏻

Hi guys, Thanks for the advice about the Bentley book. I found it at Amazon, and it's quite expensive, as you said. I'm going to have to sell some toys to finance my restoration project: a couple of guitars and a BMW scooter, for starters. _________________ Festina lente - hasten slowly
