Super cool, needs a ton of metal work, but I would think that every dollar invested would come back two fold.

I saw this bus about 4 years ago in person. It was on this guys property on top of a hill with the cargo doors wide open.
I was really shocked to see that it was L/H cargo and a swivel. I was scared about all the metal work at the time but now
wish I had made an offer. There is also an early 23 on the property tucked away out of the weather. I hope who ever buys
this thing does it up right because it is a super cool bus.

I lost count, are we up to 13 SS kombis?

Edit:
Nope, the LH cargo door bus was already counted way back on page 2 of this thread.

To summarize, we have 11 existing SS kombis, and the bulkheads, seat tracks, and m-code plate from a cut up kombi which I have.

11, we got 11, anybody got number 12?

C'mon SS panel owners! Post up your buses, let's get a count of the SS panels.
Don't make me dig through this thread and find them...

We've got three so far, I know of at least a dozen more.

1960 double door swivel seat panel
In resto now. Found these original logos (bottom pic) under 2 layers of paint and different logos. 3 laundry services appeared to have owned this bus

Here's a panel I picked up a few days ago. Found it right here in the classifieds. Came out of Northern Oregon. Hidden in a garage for the last nine years. It's missing the seat and a few other parts but it's super solid. I posted a few pics in the Jewel Tea thread because it has all the options those buses are know to have, sliding rear window, safaris, gas heater and swivel seat.

Tail lights and maybe the passenger side rocker should be all the welding it needs.

This SS Kombi has been listed for a couple months now with nearly 6K views and I see the seller just lowered the price $1. I'm not whining about the price that's why I'm bringing this up here. If this is a thread hijack and needs to be in the whines please move it..

Seems a sought after bus worth saving especially with LH cargo doors, SS and being an original grey bus, but what is a ballpark figure for price? Am I right in thinking this bus should appreciate in value faster than an average bus? Please, do tell...thanks, Gary

i am thinking that this bus might never get restored if it wasn't a swivel seat bus. It does have windows. The condition is pretty horrible, and while left hand cargo doors are "different" they are also not overly practical.

i think the comps do not support your theory of fast value increase, more a bus nerd kind of thing really, like a ruthmann steiger maybe. everybody has seen one, everybody thinks they are cool, they are rare, but they are also not valuable by any stretch of the imagination, not compared to a desirable AND usable bus like a camper or a crewcab, or sunroof bus anyway

Rare? hell yea!.. But my opinion as far as value would only climb until at least all that rusted metal gets replaced then you would have a good starting point. It can fetch big money at the end with those rare options.

Kombi/swivel/low production model= big coins$$$
