Hi
Do any of you know ware I can git Upholstery that looks like the original
stiped upholstery that was first in my 64 bug? TMI's vintage series looks close but I don't know if they make it avalibal for all upholstery or only 50's bugs. I don't wan't to spend too much. Thanx

ISP West has (had) brown and blue chord material. It's NOS and pretty expensive ($200 per yard off the roll) 4 or 5 yards needed for a bug. I bought 7 yards for my squareback. WCCR can stitch it up.

I can stitch it up, myself.

I also have the correct piping to finish it out. The pic I posted is a swatch from an NOS roll that is brown and light grey. I have enough to do a few cars. Give or take five.

What is that material, a vinyl or cloth fabric?

Anyway to get a sample piece?

Here is the ad for the NOS material...

Shocked
wish it was a little more wallet friendly, but I guess thats the price for originality.

It's vinyl. This is NOS German material. It's not reproduction or a close match. It is brown and light grey striped.

OK.... looks like a basket weave pattern.

I am checking a old material shop here that has some automotice , to see if there is something close.

I would love to have the original, but $200 a yard doesn't fit the budget for a daily driver.

Here are a few pictures of my NOS Blue Chord Seat Cover Set I scored off the Classifieds.

For 64' Bahama Blue beetles.

All NOS never installed in the original plastic parts bag with part number sticker!

One front seat back cover has mouse damage and is missing one seat bottom.

Still looking for one seat bottom so let me know what you have

Other than that, one complete from seat and rear seat in perfect NOS condition.

I found a roll of NOS cord material at CYW, but it turned out to be more green than the 74 Blue Cord that's in my '64.

Do you know how jealous I am!!! I have an original paint Bahama Blue '64 and I'm trying to find original material for the seats. I picked up a NOS roll but the color is wrong.

It was pure luck! I found it the day after i emailed you asking where you found the material role.

I ended up paying $325 for everything shipped. I thought that was fair considering the rarity even though one back is not perfect and is missing the one front seat bottom.

Still on the hunt for a NOS front seat bottom...

Would you be interested in parting with it? Building a green notch...or could I buy a small sample?
