I posted a few shots earlier in here of the panels Iam making. These last two curved ones took me two days and two mistakes to get them to my liking. The ceiling is next, not looking forward to that. Then I hope to make a Westy type rear seat/bed for camping.

looks good. Post more pics with your progress-that is something I was thinking of doing.......
Also was it rusted or cut out in the luggage area? I notice a piece looks to be screwed down in that area?? |

Thanks Hansolo, Iam very lucky no rust in this project.(other than the front floor). That piece is just thin Mansonite to help quite down the interior. |

Any major issues or pretty trouble free trip? Did you get long distance award, or loose out to someone from the west? If there is a thread just point me there. |
Relatively trouble free, only minor issues from the three Buses that traveled together from Ohio. Two Panels and a Westy from the most Southern point in Ohio. Did this same trip two years ago too... I had no issues and only minor issues with the other three Buses that year.
My BFAM earned the Long Distance Award. He lives 23 miles North of me.
I haven't posted my trip report on this forum. Will add it to that long distance thread UZI started a couple months ago. Just haven't had the time. _________________ Aaron D. Badertscher

A little while back, I finally got through buffing out the driver side of my original paint Sealing Wax Red 1959 Double-Door Panel. It looks SOOO much better now!
One of these days, I'll probably have the roof stripped back to bare metal and then have the roof, the already re-painted nose and the rear engine deck lid re-painted in color matched SWR to match the sides. I'm really enjoying the 54 year old faded SWR though!

Thanks Anthony,
The next time you are over this way, you should take her out for a spin! It's fun (although with 40 hp it is a little slow) to drive! Only has about 60,000 original miles on it. Sweet old truck!

Your SWR DD rules Bill! That bus is one my favorites to grace these pages...
Is there somewhere here where you talk about its history? Thanks... _________________

OK I'll bump. This is a photo of my panel, I was finally able to drive it from our old house in Humboldt Co. to our new place in Santa Rosa. After a long 6 months in storage, and a beautiful 5 hour drive I can finally get back to work on it.
