Final entry count was 401, total bus count is close to the same if we add our buses in the count. This was by far the biggest BBB to date with perfect weather. Sorry for those who missed it as this will be hard to top. _________________ Follow us on FACEBOOK

Not only was the show weather perfect, my drive over and back from LA had no wind to speak of! Made it all the way home on one tank of that cheap Arizona gas!
When we arrived on Friday I was amazed at how many buses were already there. We pretty much filled up the entire park with very little room left over.
Nice to see friends from Save The Bays and the VW Friends Mexicali.
Every year this show gets better. Thanks to John, Ronnie, and the rest of the London Bridge Bullis for all of their hard work and to the sponsors for their support.
I'm looking forward to the tally for the kids. I have a feeling that there will be some very happy recipients this year! |

This was my first year at BBB, and my first time really participating with my bus at any events. I've friends who have gone many years in a row and have told me all about it. All the while my old girl has been under construction. With the help of a few friends I've made it past the issues and failures with the bus and was able to take my 15 y.o. daughter (probably the first trip in a few years she was pleasant to be around.. probably the last for a few to..) my fiance an our dogs to BBB this year. We loaded up like Sanford an son, an made it out. We got all the wind by the way and ate up almost 3.5 tanks of gas on way out..
Weather was amazing and the people were the coolest part of the show. So friendly, willing to share their bus ' s and a story.
All an all we are making this event a permanent on our calendars.
Thanks to the London bullis, especially Ronnie for the use of his "power" for the smoker.
And thanks to Corey who pinstriped my ride while there. It looks awsome, and was the finishing touch I needed done.
Sorry for the long post but I'm still pretty excited.
And the hot air ballons each morning?!!?!?!?!?!?!? Amazing. |

Yes, thank you to the organizers for a well run and fun event! I've organized events similar to this one in the past and I know just how much work goes on to bring it together. This was my first bus event and I am already planning my return next year. _________________ Heidi - KF7CKI

A few more are in the album: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/jettncab/library/OldBlue/BBB2014 .
And, as always, here's the panorama:

^That's extra special 'cuz my favorite camera went swimming about 2 hours after that was taken. _________________ ~Kamz

Missed it last year and it hurt!
However, though we had some "squaters" I was happy happy happy to be there! The weather was absolutely perfect for January in Lake Havafew! The 7 hour one way drive was done by our 5 buses without any BIG issues both going to and coming back with a smile!
Mad props to Ronnie & Co. for yet another awesome event!!! _________________ Some people are so busy being clever they don't have time enough to be wise. |

I had a great time, met some fun people, although I seemed to miss some of the Samba members I wanted to meet in person. I was tucked back in by the RV's since my friend Linda came out from California in her motorhome...I spent all weekend trying to convince her she needed a VW.
Anyway here are some of my pics:
I found a new paint scheme for my van:
