I'm ready to get out and camp. With 3 boys under 11 and a 2 year old daughter, the cabin fever is running high. But as my fellow Coloradans know, March and April are the 2 snowiest months. The earliest I've been out is April, but everything was brown. We are months away from seeing a road like this(hopefully the mods will leave this non van photo up for a bit):

I've been staring at google maps, Padre Island is only 15 hours from Denver. Miles of beach to camp on...gulf water...very tempting.

So who has the fever? What's you're cure? Who's camping on the beach right now?

Moab is looking pretty good the next few days, above 60 one day otherwise the high 50's. If I didn't have a commitment on Monday and had not been a slacker on getting my latest round of van work done, I'd be there tomorrow. I'm assuming I'll see some nice temps in March there. Moab or Fruita is usually my go to place when everthing else is closed.

I can't WAIT for this summer and camping! Waiting for a break in the weather to get new axles in.

Last summer White River Wilderness:

This summer Banff and the Icefields Parkway and all points in between:

It's great down here in Baja camped out at Los Frailes. 'Been here over 3 weeks now. The only problem is that it has been an unusually hot January. Every day is in the mid 80's to low 90's, and there can be some windy days that keep us off the water. There's a guy named Kevin that is from Moab camped just down the beach from me.
