I picked up the laminate locally at a company named Robert Bury. It was $48 for a 4x8 sheet. It should be just enough....
The plywood is from the same place. 5/8" 13 ply baltic birch. Very nice stuff!
The edging Jeff bought at Gowesty. I'm hoping 20' will do it! I will know for sure soon!
You can buy T-moulding online at a company called...wait for it...T-moulding.com! I didn't see the grey on the site though.
I hope to laminate the doors and drawers tomorrow.

Update.
Still need to laminate a few places but it's coming together nicely.

The sink is probably twice as big as a factory westy sink. I remember seeing a similar project that Mr. Westy ventures did a while back. We have similar vans. Mine just has a lot more power.

Exactly, move the port-a-potty and pull the water tank out to refill. I've got a submersible late westy water pump, and I'm using the usual grey water tank in the factory Westfalia drain location.

Very nicely done, looks like you have a dust collection system in the shop too. Looking forward to seeing installed in van when done. _________________ Live Fulltime in motorhome

I think what Jeff meant was using the factory drain...there isn't a grey water tank on a westy but he has one he plans to install under the van.

Sorry, thanks Brian, yes the hole in the floor is where Westfalia put theirs in a camper, I'm using an aftermarket grey water tank under that location. Where everyone else puts theirs.

I install my new kitchen/outhouse... It's almost ready. I cut the floor for the drain and ran a new propane line, the water is inside and all that's left is running power to the switch for the pump. The sink is a decent size, I place a full sized dinner plate in it so you can see the size... as well as my kettle. A little summer dreaming going on for sure.

Looks fantastic. Personally I woulda put the crapper in the back under the table and the food in the front where you can get at it as well as turning the sink to face me but what do I know?

Congratulations all around. That looks like a nice quality cabinet. And the 13 Ply Baltic Birch should last forever. _________________ Tim Potts

For some reason I envisioned it behind the passenger seat opening towards the rear seat with a flip up table out the slider. The Bay Riviera campers were set up that way. _________________ 89 Westy 2.1 Auto |
