Yeah I wanted to jump in first thing this morning and post the end product pics but figured I'd wait... Heheh.
It's even better in person!
We need a plan for kitchen delivery/pickup. I'm leaning toward delivery to see it in place...I'm selfish like that. 
Your are right though Tim...poor doka is going to get lonely...

Thanks. I notice that in Eurospec's description it says, "Installation requires machining of individual bearing cap spacers." Are they saying the customer needs to individually machine the spacers or are they just saying what they need to do to produce them? edit: Never mind I just read their downloadable instructions. Customer needs to machine them.
Are you planning on doing a 50° install? If so, how are you planning on dealing with the misalignment of the two oil pan to bell housing bolts? |

Wow, those girdles are sweet. Looks like you're doing a 15 degree install. Does it clear the deck lid on a Syncro?

Your question actually prompted me to go back and look. I completely missed that little detail at first glance.
I'd also like to see how the engine mounting arms are configured.

I'm going to put it on the hoist this week, I've got a brand new tranny to install. No locker, but I don't use it anyway. My plan is to use the vacuum switch to run a decoupler.
All that to say, I'll take a few motor mount pics and post them.

The first tranny lasted 2500km after my local transmission supplier 'rebuilt' it for me...lessons learned. A shim left out I learned later. I have a mole on the inside.
So I installed a 2wd tranny to finish our camping season. Looking all the time for another rebuildable core. I never did find one I liked.
Serendipity enters at the weirdest time, one of my suppliers mention that they have 2 syncro transmission in stock, had them for years, and I was the only one they knew of that might want them. So we agreed on a price, and the first of 2 came a couple weeks ago. (You might remember my post), the second will be coming, I hope this month. (I couldn't afford to buy both on the same credit card statement, if you get my drift)
So here it is.
The only issue is it's 5.43 R&P, so I've ordered a taller 3rd and 4th gear and a front R&P to match.
A lot of $$$$$

It does clear the engine lid... Barely, some insulation removed. But I have a full centimetre of clearance everywhere.

I remember chasing an oil leak at the oil pan because of the girdle. There's a spacer ring that sits on the main bearing studs(ARP), the studs are longer than with no girdle, then the girdle gets placed on and torqued down. I had to remove the spacers again and machine them shorter by .025" so the girdle would sit on the block, I use Wurth flange sealant between it and the block, and an old 1.6 gasket between the pan and the girdle. Of course it won't work with a factory diesel pan, if you want to bolt it it the transmission...

So the kitchen is working!
Today I wired the water pump, ran a drain and a propane line to the stove. Boiled my first kettle of water today! Now if only the snow and salt would leave so I can out and play.
