Found these pics in the gallery. What a beauty. WANT!
Glad he shared the photos but no writeup. I really dig the Orange seat belts and Diamond floor as well. Would love to see more of his work.

Nice setup!
I trust that picture is backwards - or you're driving on the wrong side of the road! _________________ '90 White Westy ("The Longship")

The label on the Waeco ..cooler? isn't reversed, so it must be an RHD rig.
Cool setup. Wonder where I could get some of those latches... |

I'm sure that you'll find whatever latches you want / need here http://www.leevalley.com/en/home/OnlineCatalog.aspx?id=e8fdc23c
latches etc start about page 106
Have fun - lots of other catalogues as well just google Lee Valley. One of my favourite stores/sources.

It sure gets overwhelming... The kitchen options are endless. I like it.

Yeah, I've got the Lee Valley link bookmarked at home already, just haven't had the time to look through it yet. I was hoping someone would recognize them. |

Was there some reference that suggests this is homebuilt? There are all sorts of companies in the UK that build VW camper conversion parts. Many in the rest of Europe too, but since this van is RHD. |

Sweet!
Wish he would do a tutorial..... How did he fasten the panels? I don't see screws..... Glue? Flycut and slipped over the metal splines?

the pics show lots of clamping and ratchet straps, so some adhesives involved?
I love it... _________________ '91 Syncro 16 Reimo Hightop Conversion, eTDI |

That is a really nice setup. I have found that the weekender with a removable Kitchen is the way to go, why carry all that crap around with you for everyday driving, why not have the extra room to easily carry a load of lumber or furniture when needed. Nice to be able to take it out and under an awning when camping too.
Here is the one I made for my Weekender a couple years ago.

Kind of makes the old saying..."everything but the kitchen sink!" redundant.
How much would that weigh? I see a chiropractor in the future...hehe.
I see the appeal of having all of that outside, thats why we pack a cooler, take a coleman stove and set up the dining shelter.
The OP unit is really sweet! I didn't find the prices but it looks like nice stuff to work with for sure.
It's what I have enjoyed about this site for the past 6 years...all the great ideas!

Hi Guys,
thanks for all the positive comments about my new kitchen unit. It only finally got installed last week. I saved the pictures in preparation for doing a write up but have been distracted for a few days.
To quickly answer some of the questions I picked up in reading this thread - yes, it is RHD - I'm in the UK. The panels are 'glued' in using silicone sealant. If I wanted to remove the unit in future there are only four bolts, two electrical plugs and one gas connections to separate.
I will try and get the write done in the next couple of days.
Cheers

I like that, it is very nicely done and great to be removable like that. Without the jump-seat, you'd also be able to easily move that to the other side for rotation of the passenger seat and easier ingress to the van.
Does it bolt down to the jumpseat location? _________________ '91 Syncro 16 Reimo Hightop Conversion, eTDI |
