He can't be all over anyone, reason being he knows he's a criminal yet pretends or somehow believes in his screwed up mind that he's doing honest business.

I bought a 1984 vanagon, the wbx engine was in the back, some what en tact. I tore it down to nothing, it had a broken stud 222cm,
I ordered locally for parts, some of the local parts houses are real pieces of work. About a month later, the parts are due to come in. I used my American express to pay for the parts, the vendor tried to push off some poor quality incorrect parts. My wife told me to call American express, Express and I filed a complaint,
couple days later< I got a call from the parts house (NOT THEIR REAL NAME). I WAS TOLD TO COME BUY AND THEY WOULD MAKE IT RIGHT. I have used American Express quite a bunch, first time they went to bat. My objective is to get the parts I need to put the WBX back together, I don't want to get anybody fired now a days, I just want my parts, promptly. Cheaper than hiring an attorney. I don't own stock in American Express. Just thought I would share my experience.

PostPosted: Thu Jul 03, 2014 6:55 am    Post subject: Does waterboxer.com still have a horrific reputation Reply with quote

Just found this old post in a google search for www.waterboxer.com engines. I was looking at making an offer on a 84 Westfalia with newer engine purchased from waterboxer engines in Raleigh, NC. However, after stumbling across this post I am thinking that would not be a wise decision...suggestions/opinions.

I have been a long time admirer of Westfalias and now finally at a point in life where I have the available time and capital to make Westfalia ownership a reality and would prefer not to embark on this journey by making an unwise purchase.
