Do you have the glove box door or gas door in original paint?

If so take it to an auto paint supply shop and have them match it to your color. I have had problems with color codes not matching or even coming close for that mater.

Just a couple months ago I gave my paint supply shop a color code for Bahama blue and it came out more like mint green.

Sadly I have already sanded the gas door and the GLove Box door is Plastic ( Super Beetle ) .

the Only Parts that remain Yellow are some spots under the hoods and that paint isnt exactly coated like the exterior paint usually is.

The Local PPG guy has my color in OMNI but not in OMINI PLus or Deltron and I hear OMNI is not that great of paint.

funny that AKZO / SIKKENS does not list Saturn Yellow, L13M but does list the other yellow of 1973 L13K. oh well,.. I'l find something in a Base Coat.

thanks..

base coat on and 3 coats of Clear, let it out in the sun to help settle the paint job , next sand with 400 or 600 and spray another coat.

looks awesome! i had a 72 standard that color. it grows on you for sure! id say another two coats of clear then a good buff job will make it look like you can swim in it.

So the html hexadecimal code for Saturn Yellow (L13M) is #fde522. When compared here: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_colormixer.asp
against Krylon's John Deere Yellow Farm and Implement paint (#FFE030), it is nearly spot on. Another option if the paint is faded and aged a bit, is to go with Rustoleum's Sunburst Yellow (#F7DA00). Hope this helps out all the DIYers like me.

If I had gone through all the hard work to get my car as straight as he did, there is no chance I would even consider using either of those 2 paints on it!

Hey, if you've got the money , go for the best. If you don't, you get to settle with the cheap stuff for quick touch up work.

Omni is simply a low buck paint line that is sold by PPG with their name on it to ensure some people will buy it. It's NOT the same as DBC, DBU, or any other higher quality PPG paint product. It's bottom rung. I've used it plenty on cars that are owned by people who can't or won't spend the money to buy better quality paints. The only trouble I have with Omni base coat is any possibility of a color match in spot repairs. It's not a terrible paint by any means.
