It is at highway speeds that you notice it least. You can borrow mine and take it on 66 if you like.

I'll testify to that, in the context of exhaust noise anyways...
I hope to install a RMW this winter, but the leaks on my old system
we're quietest at highway speed. Running up through the gears was/might
be a bit growly, I'm in Twisted Evil

That is what helped me pull the trigger. Arrived today, will let everyone know my first impressions after the install is in and I get out on the road.

Happy New Years

You'll regret not opting for the stainless steel cat. The fur can clog the muffler and create too much back pressure.

I'm with Dave... I read that, looked up and over the illustration... then broke out laughing.

I so want that system... Funds accumulate so sloowly after Winston's rebuild.

Best!

Blue Bay Bus Wow I love this exhaust.

Had to go 1,600 miles to RMW in Colorado, worth the trip. Had lunch with Mike, great bunch of people. They even found a problem in my o2 sensor. Well back to the exhaust I would say my GW 2.3 has about 10% more power . And about the sound I love it just like my old 911. And it looks great to, and will last for every. Yes it's a lot of $ but worth it. And yes having them put it on priceless! Had a stud break off glad it was not me under there. I have now turned the exhaust tip up for more room. Nice to be able to move parts around. Thanks Chris and Mike for making this exhaust! Very Happy PS And way better then the one GW has and worth the money!

Just had mine installed and put about 330 miles on it.

Very nice. Feels more responsive in the mid-range.

Next, saving my pennies for a RJE stroker 2.3!

I have had this exhaust on my van for almost two years now. It is still one of the best upgrades I have done. I installed it myself and had to re-tighten everything once after a cross country trip we did a year ago. I just drove 850 miles this past week over several passes (including Wolf Creek) and love the extra bit you get when climbing or getting up to speed. Just thought I would chime in with a two year update on this nice exhaust.

have one in as part of my RMW subaru conversion. 2500 miles on it. Sounds great, not like a tuner car. quiet at idle, subtle nice growl at about 4k. really like it!

Another happy customer here. Just got done installing a set on my dad's 90 Westy, and what a fine improvement! Picked it up from the source on my way through CO and got to check out the sweet shop they've got there (thanks Chris!). Aside from the gorgeous SS and the sexy Porsche-esque rumble, it definitely adds some needed oomph by letting the tired old 2.1 breathe as it should have from the factory. Gone are most of the hiccups and lag on acceleration, and the top end definitely feels less restricted as it gets up around 4k. I'm sure it'll really help the new rebuilt WBX that's on the horizon shine.

The kit is well designed and put together. The instructions were a little confusing in spots, but it's not hard to figure out what goes where. Took about 7 hours start to finish, including the fun task of removing the old system with an angle grinder and lots of PB blaster, and degreasing and cleaning the decades of crud off the engine and bay. And the fact that I took my time. A well designed product. A chunk of change for sure, but well worth it for the performance boost and longevity for those sticking with the WBX platform. Bravo!

On my project Syncro, the exhaust tilts down on the passenger side. I'm wondering too if this is the way it was designed.

Mine was initially quite off-kilter so I emailed Mike some pics. He noticed some of the brackets had been installed upside down so I took it back to the shop and had it corrected. Now it's only slightly angled down on the passenger side.
