I just got my rods back from the machine shop. They replaced the small
end bushings reamed the big end and straightened them. The question is they drilled 2 of the oil holes in the small end and not the 3rd. They
did not drill the holes that would be facing up in the engine. Is this
correct? This is a 1600 single port with Scat 69mm
counter weight crank and 88 pistons,W100 cam and mild home porting. _________________ 56 Jungle green restored w/orig interior

Take 'me back and ask them to please drill the holes and ream to size again. _________________ www.LoCashRacing.org

Two oil holes is just fine. They probably think that is a better idea and I don't know, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter enough to worry about.
By "up" I think you mean "out".
There aren't any reamers involved |

By up I mean that when the rods are installed on the crank, the holes that face up are not drilled. _________________ 56 Jungle green restored w/orig interior
