Here's a link to my flickr page with pics of the Nationals on Sunday.
Good to see a couple more Type 3's than usual. The numbers of Type 3 to other models is always less but I did my best to catch the few that were left. I think a couple had to leave before I got there or whilst I was stalking the carpark. Often the best cars are out in the parking lot outside the event.
Here's the link.

That loks like you had a great day and venue for the show. Thanks for sharing the photos. I hope someday to get back to Australia. Every time I've been in the past has been really enjoyable. _________________ Regards,

Thanks Nate M. , Walter64, & MonT3. I've been into photography for a while now so combining VW's and photography is a lot of fun. _________________ Sydney, Australia.

If you mean the white notch with the Subaru motor then I saw it.
I got a couple of pics of that in my flickr album.
It was the one with the "for sale" sign under the rear deck lid and the radiator where the spare wheel was evicted from. _________________ Sydney, Australia.

There was a few pics of it in the Flickr gallery I linked to before, plus a heap more of nice vw's.
This one https://www.flickr.com/photos/paolo1/sets/72157644880566893/
The Price was undisclosed. I don't think it's gonna be cheap though. It's had a tonne of bespoke work and plenty of coin thrown at it. The interior was a little too custom for me. I think its a sacrilege to lose the three dial dash and stuff in the modern gauge cluster but that's just my opinion however the workmanship was top-notch.
Here's the ones I took of Vlad's dream machine.

The other white notchback with 'Nudge' written on the plaque in front was also for sale. That was immaculate. Every nut and bolt.
I think around 25k for it although it could be more. _________________ Sydney, Australia.

Great pics mate. And I thought I took a few.
Just on the notch with the Subaru engine it had Air-con with vents on the parcel shelf behind the rear seat.
And the grill/vents at the front was grafted from the front of the windscreen
I spoke to owner for a little bit. Took 3 years to build and all done by him. Wasn't game to ask price.
As you can see in the pic with for sale his mob number is 0411407448 international would be (+61)411407448 _________________ My 71 Squareback (Sold!): http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=591450

Yeah, it's had a heap of work. Engine bay is the neatest Subi-swap I've ever seen. Would've been nice to de-badge the motor and remove the tell-tale signs of a modern motor. Make it look like a water-cooled prototype they built in the sixties.
He absolutely nailed the radiator install. Fit like a glove.
I'm not a big fan of dropping Subaru motors in early air cooled vw's but honestly I gotta give credit where it's due - this car was dialed! Workmanship was extremely high. _________________ Sydney, Australia.

Cool to see the scene in your country.
Some nice cars; Like it used to be here.
Lately here in CA the same theme gets played over and over:
Shitty paint
rust holes
roof rack
super low
Over and over and over.
Back in the old days, rats wouldn't have even been in the parking lot outside the event.
Nowadays, it's all Hondas and Toyotas in the parking lot, and the rats are in the show.
Useta be most all aircoolers in the parking area; and some nice ones; a show outside the show.
