Hi all- thought I'd share a small project and ask if anyone might have half of an old windshield seal to donate for shipping and a few bucks-
I'm turning this oval dash into a shelf for some of my tin toy collection and/or shelf under a flatscreen tv. The dash came from the swapmeet- almost abandoned because of the rotted windshield lip, etc. The backing and sides are 3/4" ply and top and storage compartment are pine. I'm looking for 4'+ of semi pliable windshield seal so I can put in a plexiglass 'windshield' that I'm planning to back light through some painted mountains or other scenery.
I'm still working to take off the last of two coats of brush paint and need to find door, speedo, radio face, etc. Top will be piano hinged with plenty of room underneath for cables, remotes, etc. May try to get switches to operate electronics but first things first. |

Send me a PM? I thought I'd keep an eye out for accessory parts and mount them to the 'shelf' till I find the right oval project for me but it would be nice to have something there so it's presentable |
