Thank you again for another great show! As usual everything was perfect!
I was sad to see that only three Karmann Ghia's entered the show. I better hurry up and get mine done.....I might win a trophy with those odds.

this was our first time making it here with a running bug, and we had a really nice time. Caught the pancake breakfast at the fire house on the way in, then hit the fairgrounds up for 9am. Some great cars to look at, lots of parts around too.

Really enjoyed the show after my 8 year VW hiatus (college, careers, relocation, etc.). Going to try to make the August show this year with the bug.
Somewhat surprised in the turnout, exception being busses. Has it been on the decline? Circa 2006 seemed much larger, or maybe in my memory.
Either way great show! _________________ '75 T1 Std Sedan

A few pics:
Ya got to get there REAL earlie to get a flat-ish spot...
One of the coolest VWs at the show.
old press bumper Panel/camper
REALLY NICE Bay Singlecab, note: no drivers side Treasure Chest door....
My younger Brother w/ nis son, Remi.
I snapped a Clutch cable soon after leaving the show, limped to my Brothers place, called Stanagon for help finding a new one, Rob Corver stepped up gave me his spare, Thanks Rob !!!
I took rt. 91 home, getting on North of Northampton Ma. the truck ran great, 70 mph down the big hills & 40 mph goimg up.... _________________ Tom

I thought the turn-out for show cars was smaller this year, but we did have a decent type 3 showing and it seemed to be a good amount of vendors. I did notice the lack of type 1's and only saw a few Ghias.
It was a great day the weather was just about perfect and I enjoyed the cruise down and grilling with Brad (OldVolks67) and his son.
I got to meet Alex from ISPwest and another type 3 owner who are headed to the type 3 invasion next weekend. _________________ 1964 Notchback

it was a little light, but it seems that some people are on a 'every other year' kind of thing seeing it falls on fathers day. some just can't get away for the day
i think if it was a week before or a week after it may be different, but really, who knows.
i had a great time and wanted to thank chuck and the crew. scored a ton of NOS parts needed for my current project _________________

Thanks for the correction. I used to be a nice guy, then I ruined it by exposing myself to the public. |

Thanks again Chuck and crew.....
It was interesting that we saw a few people that were regulars from back at the Inn that had not been there in 10+ years. Seemed to us that the swap had way more people than the past and there was many "new" vendors. I never really made it over to the show side, too busy. |

Yes, it looked like more swapers, really busy swap area, and on the show side, the Bay window line up was BIG !! _________________ Tom
