I have been told that was an optional model,VW Mexico sold them to farmers.

I think i saw a vintage advertisement for one once. I seem to recall there were cows in the picture that made me laugh for some reason.

They are real, I was told only 500 or so ever made.
A friend has one, they are nicely different when modified.
