Here is an interesting map of the route with both time and distance.

Uncle Bill's Timber Town

As previously stated, signed Liability Waivers will need to be obtained from each and every attendee on AF Sword Logging Company property.
Being on private land creates no greater risk then simply driving through an intersection in rush hour traffic. But to attend this event, AF Sword Logging can not be held liable in anyway for your choices and or activities that might result in any type of issues.

Having said all of that I will be bringing the forms with me and will meet you at the gate as you enter the property for you to sign.

There are also bathroom facilities and hot showers in the campground just before entering onto the property just a short distance from where we will be camping. Cool It also sounds like we will be having a good size BBQ on Saturday so if you are into animal proteins bring some and or some delicious side items to accompany.

Who is planning on coming in on Friday? This is who I know of thus far:

Christopher and Son (Noonish)
J.C. (Noon)
Kim (Noonish)
Dustin and Leti (Afternoonish)
Pete (Early Eve)
Dale and Terri (Early eve)

As always Pack out what we pack in and leave no trace. Smile

Hey Volks,

I'm down with your plan JC I'll be rolling in on Friday afternoon. Current plan is to leave straight from work and get straight into chill campground mode ASAP. I've heard rumors of a BBQ pit so I'll fill the van with meat before I leave. Very Happy

WBCDR gang-
Are you guys interested in the original plan of skipping section 1? I was thinking we could plan to meet up Thursday night and embark Friday morning from the packwood area. I had my eye on Indian creek campground....
Indian Creek Campground
Naches, WA 98937
http://goo.gl/maps/GwgdJ
From there we can head out and see where we end up. Maybe even watch SyncroJack rally? Laughing Any changes or amendments are cool just the plan I had in the back of my head. I'm charging my camera batteries as we speak.Very Happy
I'll probably need to flake out Sunday lunch or so for the return to Mcwhoville.
Cheers
Jahbah

Thursday meetup sounds awesome.
Watching Jack rally sounds awesome.
Flaking out Sunday sounds lame. I'll pour a bottle of bourbon over your head and call the cops on you. Wait...that would be a waste of bourbon. Wink
So David Moise is out unfortunately, but if David Hines is in we still maintain our Dave quota and we're at five syncros!

Don't know if it's anyone who hangs around here, but just in case...

If that was you behind me about a half-hour ago at the northbound signal of SE 82nd & Johnson Creek in the burgundy square-light Vanagon with Terrapodz .. check your headlight adjustment if you're using halogen, or please ditch the HID retrofit if you're using one. As things sit now the glare is pretty bad even before sunset, I hate to think what it's like when things are actually dark outside.

Not looking to start a flamewar, not looking to piss anyone off. Just trying to give a heads-up so you can check into things, instead of possibly having some bored cop talk to you about it on the side of the road someplace...

Well Uncle Bill's turn out to be a fantastic time as expected. This was the first of many trips to Uncle Bill's to come. Private land and private trails. Great people and great food and laughs. Thank you to all who attended.

Stay tuned for the Trail riding video. Its on the edit table right now.

That was a blast! Not too much carnage either. I had to do a little Mcgyverism today though. Somehow I ended up with a big hole in my decoupler actuator. Couldn't decouple. An old credit card and some jb-weld and it's as good as new though.

Just FYI for any locals in the market for ARB fridge. We are still on the fence while we shop, but found that "Salem Off-Road" will sell 50qt for $775 and 63qt for $987. They said 2 days to get them in stock. (cheaper than amazon)

Anyone else finding good deals on ARB / Engle fridges?

You might try Tony Cruthers at Motorsports in Pdx. He got me a good deal on an ARB. Last number I have for him is 503-244-9010.

A big thanks to everyone who came out to Uncle Bill’s this weekend. I had a really good time. Terry deserves a huge round of applause for smoking ribs all day, they were super good. Big up to JC llc inc. for spearheading the whole thing and hopefully organizing a couple more outings like this down the road. The trails were pretty cool! Now I can say I’ve bushwacked in my syncro, rolled over timber and tip toed through 6 foot grass. I’m glad to report no carnage on my van.
Hopefully Pete posts up a photo of his new and improved vacuum actuator! It’s a true McGyver job if I’ve ever seen one. half an old credit card and j/b weld. Laughing
I only got a couple shots following the T3 Technique Mobile....

Next up, WAdakar Rally! Christopher and I looked over the map and looked into some details. I’m getting excited Leti and I both got the time blocked off…

Probably happened in that same place where I got that mini-log jammed up between the prop shaft and the skid bars. Nice repair!

Yeah, that was a good time for sure. I already miss Uncle Bill! What a cool guy! How many other 83(?) year old dudes would show to dinner with cheap wine and pantie droppin' music...wearin' a pair of work coveralls and skater shoes with heart shoelaces? What a stud! Great guy!

Thanks for a great time to all involved.

Lol Bill is a stud for sure with his "Panty Droppin Tunes!" indeed. We will be back of course cause we all had fun and so did Bill. I spoke to him on Sunday and all are welcome back. He really enjoyed himself! Maybe after Mogfest?

Ok, here is the Video from Uncle Bill's Timber Town. Its a long 11 min video with a little bit of action. Next time I will get out of the vehicle more to capture more wheels off the ground. Sorry for the shaky, shaky, cell phone on a human gimbal isn't the best. Next time I will run two cams with one mounted on a tree or something to get better shots. I had a great time and I hope everyone else did too. Let's do this again, perhaps in September after MOGFEST. Please Enjoy Cool

Nice video JC! Too bad you didn't capture the really steep stuff but we were all too puckered up to be shooting at the time!
