Well boys and girls here she is what do you think. I have a 2 seater but I found some cancer on it and after some good inputs from you went on the hunt for a 4 seater frame. After doing some Craigslist horse trading I came up one this and had build up enough reserves so I pulled the trigger. I still have the 2 seater and a baja but those are on the block for sale. I figured it will be easer to sell both of them as rollers rather than harvest parts plus I got hold of a rolling bug chassis (post '72 I think) that I'm gona use for the suspension. I'm sure I'll be asking y'all a lot of questions and I have thick skin and will take all comments and criticism.
So, let me know what y'all think. It will be street legal and mainly used for playing around with my kids.

Good looking frame. What are your plans for engine/trans/suspension?
Seems like it might be missing a little bracing on the main hoops. I'm sure others will chip in, but I think you'll want to brace that rear hoop against the rear.

--Edit--
Adding that third picture helps. Couldn't tell how far back those rear bars went. Might be ok if you don't plan on going crazy off road with it _________________ Vehicles:

Yea I was looking at a couple of areas that I thought needed extra bracing. The rolling chassis I have has type one trans that looks good and fresh but will have to see once I get an eng on it. I'm gona reuse my 1600 off my old rail. It's a little tired but it runs good. On the suspension the front will be ball joint(yes I know everyone likes LP but I'm going budget plus the frame is setup for it). And the rear is IRS. Everyone I talk to says to box it so that on the to do list. |

One of many questions:
-what's the best way to run wires? I was going to push them threw the frame but I've had a couple guys don't it's not good for the frame strength???

Not much of an update but had to brag about my grease monkeys. They helped me sand and install the shifter for mock up.
No sure how but my little one found some grease.
My parts chassis has stock tires and rims so they have to do for now. Sanding the hubs to paint them.

The kids did good that and my sander. My boy learned the hardway to keep it way from his knees. Now he has a couple of strawberrys. I'm partial to hubcaps and For now I'm keeping the stock rims so I painted them a copper color for now.
Did some price shopping and looks like powder coating is off the table. I'll be shooting it in my garage and see how many neighbors I can piss off. Ha. Still trying to unload my baja and 2 seat rail roller so some of the new items will be staying in the "wish list" cart for now. |

Got the front suspension on. Had to remove the stop for the steering but it's on. |

She's a roller. Now I can move her and do some fabbing. My neighbors been a big help but tonight I was on my own. Real fun putting the rear together by myself having never done it and the weight. |

I got her a little closer. Got the engine on and it lowered the frame 1 1/4" with out the shocks. I need to go at least 1" up in the rear just to level her and I think I can get 3 more inches before I start binding the CV's. Got my Hot butt wife to help me get the eng out of the truck an on the jack stands- she's a stud!!! Sorry one of the pics are upside down. Being it a good patriotic holiday I figured my temp rood would fit just right- God bless Texas and the USA. I think I am ready to get the frame over to the shop and start welding gussets and such...

Not a huge update, but some progress. Got the steering shaft and wheel put together. Mocked up the brake/throttle assembly, and got more bracing. I think all we have left before powder coat is add a battery tray, box the IRS, and add the shock mounts

Looking good! Definitely much stronger looking with those supports added. Interesting idea for the vertical bar that splits the "windshield" area. Do you plan on running a split windshield? _________________ Zig, Aircooled Enthusiast

I do want to have a removable windshield but probably all the way across. For head room reasons triangulated bracing just wouldn't work so I figured something is better than nothing God forbid I get to see blue on the bottom. |

Got the back seat fitted in. I think with the right seat lets my 3 squealers will fit nice for a few years at least.
