Your picture gave me goosebumps. One of those VW busses could be my parents as they took my brother and me to the general walker every year in our various VW busses over the years. Hotel has been demolished after the U.S forces left Germany around 2006 because of its role in history. |

I know I have seen that pic before on TheSamba, not that I am complaining since who is going to sift through 258 pages to see if the same pic has already been posted? I see elsewhere that the woman has been identified as actress Julie Newmar. She looks enough like the 5'11" Julie to be her, but I'm not sure.
Those hubcaps give the impression that the Ghia is new. Can any of you experts identify the year of the Ghia? |

I have not seen this movie but my immediate thought it doesn't sound like it would have a Ghia in it, maybe the photo description was not a movie still but just her on the set.
I also found another description on the same photo:
Julie Newmar leaning up against her Volkswagen Karmann Ghia outside Fox Studio’s back lot, c. 1960s
A Ghia person would need to chime in on the year.

Early door with popouts would make it a early 60's model, 60 to 64 maybe?
