does anyone know what this sticker might have been it was under alot of layers of paint

Looks like an emissions decal, for California cars, post more info about the car and I bet someone will chime in with more info and probably a link on where to get a new one Wink

Yes, it's an emissions decal but it's for a non-California 1976 car. They aren't reproduced.

Providing you have a decent example to start with and an artist that has a good eye for topography and the proper DIN fonts. Wink

I've done a few for '79 models (bug and bus). There are quite a few different styles out there. If you can shoot a pic of a well lit example, I may be able to recreate one for you. If you do shoot a pic, try to shoot it straight on and as square as possible. The better the sample the better the recreation.
