Returning to Vancouver Island after the 2014 Great Canadian VW show in Vancouver,BC. VWDog's Neptune Blue Riviera and my '74 "Restfalia", deep in the bowels of BC Ferries Vancouver/Nanaimo run. Scary parked on the steep ramps. Good thing those brakes were recently adjusted...
For us Island dwellers, the foibles of the ferries are just a part of our lives... _________________ 1974 "Restfalia" Camper 2000 cc EFI 2001-

On the needles ferry. It's a small cable ferry. The crossing is about 5 min

Can I cheat? Not a bay but I see a few splits and others in the photos, so here goes.
In the far back is my family's bus. My guess is this is the early 60's. Probably in the Carolinas.

the location is only outshadowed by the significance of so many bays in one place..
that ferry crosses the Saguenay Fjord as it enters the St lawrence seaway north of Quebec city at the town of Tadoussac, Qc.
you can at times spot Minke, Fin or Beluga from the ferry.
some more. this awesomeness needs to recommence.
link for those who like to peep in other's photo albums

2003
and open this in a new window. Sand dune overlooking the Seaway from 2002. there is a butt puckering drop off not 30ft behind those buses. so trust your parking brake?

Thanks Kevin! I've been off the forum awhile. I need to get back on and learn how to post better.
Let me know when you're in town. I'll try to get out of my cave and meet up. _________________ 1978 Delux Campmobile
