I agree, our American mentality is to GO FAST!!!!!

Add to that the false security of big brakes, 4x4 ability, etc.

When towing heavy loads...... Slow down! You cannot easily stop heavy mass hurdling along at break neck speeds.

You can also easily lose control at higher speeds and not so easily regain control........as that towing video so clearly demonstrates.

The hazards of speed and weight are clearly demonstrated here in the Northeast every Winter.
We Get a small snow fall, I see it every year that by and large the Heavy Laden Semi's seem to feel invincible (or are they on a time is money frenzy?) and hurdle on at or above the speed limit as their massive tires carrying huge weight compress wet slush into glare ice!
They invariably seem to end up crashed into a hill, lying sideways in a ditch or causing a massive pile up killing and maiming innocent motorist!

If you must tow any large object with a marginal tow vehicle please get off of the Interstate slow down and drive sanely. Pull over if you must being courteous to the line that may form behind you as well.
If you are a trucker, slow down or stop in bad weather, I really don't want to killed by you!
