This thread continues from another topic:

I found the following VW Part numbers that relate to diesel oil pumps for Vanagons:

068 115 105 AQ
068 115 105 AR
068 115 105 BP
068 115 105 J

The 068 115 105 BP pump is available here in the states from our regular discount part sources. The manufacturer are Meyle Germany and Febi Germany (almost double the prices).

Here my questions:
1. Does anyone know if 068 115 105 BP is the same as the (JX) TD pump for the Vanagon? (bigger 36mm gears?)
2. Does anyone know the exact part number of the TD (JX) pump for the Vanagon?

BP is the correct part number for the 36mm gears. ALL replacement diesel-vanagon oil pumps now have the 36mm gears.

If replacing an earlier pump, do these take longer mounting bolts?

No. If replacing the stock diesel vanagon 30mm pump the bolts are the same. If replacing the 36mm 15° pump, the bolts need to be shorter.

I used the original TDI pump with the JX pickup pipe I had. It works fine since 2009.
I think it was 028 115 105 G on 1Z

I have a brand new Tdi oil pump (Febi), however the pickup tube is for a normal jetta oil pan. Is there a clever way to simply get a new (or used?) pickup tube with the right bypass valve for a tdi (AHU), and the right configuration for 50* jx oil pan?

ETKA has a weird glitch where I can't scroll down to the last few part #s for turbo D oil pump diagram. If anyone can see these part #s, that would help!

Thanks for any insight and sorry if this is redundant but I've searched extensively.

I saw somewhere that the pickup tube can be bent to shape that you can use with the JX sump, but cannot find the link.

On the JX the pickup and the bypass valve are in the same casting. Cannot mix with AHU pump bypass.

But you can put the pickup casting on to the new pump. I using this setup since 2009 (around 80000 miles) without oil pressure problems. you can use a complete JX pump if the gears are 36mm high - and as said above, all replacement JX pumps have 36mm high gears.

You cannot buy just the pickup tube. The new complete JX pump is the one you want. Sell your new jetta/golf AHU oil pump.
