I used to run 40PII's on a later 88x69 type one engine. Wonderful, but complicated! Anyway, I used this old Solex book to get me started on jetting:
http://oacdp.org/solex.html
It has all the formulas you need to calculate venturi, main jet, etc.
It will probably be a little rich for Denver, but better slightly rich than slightly lean. You can always lean it out later.
By the way, stunning engine! _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |

I ordered the correct size of jets and as soon as I receive and install them I can start up the engine for the first time. I will post a video of it running.

That engine looks sweet! I hope that you can get it on a dyno. For reference I had ACE dyno a 1500cc Okrasa and it had I believe 72 hp. _________________ 71 Westy Roadcow

Where did you purchase the jets?
Can you exchange them 'til you find the correct combination?
Cheers,

Have you ever driven a car with your engine? I would be interested to see what your thought were. Where they "0h, yes!", "I can't believe I spent this much time and money on THIS!", or something in between.
Cheers,

Very Nice engine
Did you get it in the car, how does it drive?
What venturi/jet size did you end up with? |

It's been sitting in my shop for at least a year now, maybe longer...
I have plans to use it on one of my personal cars but need to move the oil filter before it will fit. I'd also like to change a few other things. No time, etc. Soon I hope.
