|
|
So a couple weeks ago I bought this at a swap meet.
I didn't think anything about it until I got home, when I realized that it said "VW 89". Now I thought that all hazards switches like this said "VW 90". Here's the one from my 73.
So what's the difference between "VW 90" or "VW 89"? Is it more valuable? More rare? Anybody seen one before? _________________ Beeble1, ‘73 Super (o\_|_/o) 1600cc w/ Dealer A/C

I've seen both many times. As far as I know it's just different years and $75 for one would be amusing

Dont read too much into it, its just the different models.
SWF made the hazard switches for vw and its just for the different models.
if you ever look close at a flat screen beetle hazard switch the center knob has VW87 or VW88 depending which knob it has as some say emergency others say hazard.
I even noticed mk3 Golf hazard switches have VW104 on them
same deal with 1303 hazard switches, there was about 3 different models made, some with no back lighting and European was different to north american. _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?
