The finish washers / cup washers that came with the car had flat backs -- the open back ones cut into the material -- unfortunately, I don't know of a source for flat backed washers other than other ghias. I would ask the ghia specialists if they have any o.g. washers in stock / put up a wanted classifieds ad or -- failing that -- give your washers a flat back by rubbing some J.B. Weld into the open space.
Good luck. |

Thanks danielsan. I do have a couple of the flat back washers, and I can swap from areas where I don't need them, like the rear carpets. I think what is needed is either a strong patch of material on the back side to spread the load, or a broad edging strip. It would need to bond really well and be a fairly good colour match (I don't think repro headliner would be strong enough).
Ideas for patch material and/ or adhesive welcome! _________________ 1978 marino yellow Bay Dormobile camper
