For those of you 1968 - 1974 Karmann Ghia owners being left out of the V.V.W.C.A. - Golden Gate Chapter's annual San Jose Kelley Park show, you are now able to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Karmann Ghia and enter into the park show your Ghia, but still limits other models to 1967 and earlier.
The officials of the City of San Jose still declines for us to park on the grass - Evil or Very Mad

We had our monthly meeting earlier in the month and Rick Spohn has decided to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Karmann Ghia by allowing ALL YEAR Ghia coupes/verts to enter the show.

There will be 3 classes for awards (coupes/verts combined):
1959 and earlier class - 1st and 2nd place plaques
1960 - 1969 class - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place plaques
1970 - 1974 class - 1st and 2nd place plaques

ADDED: Entertainment at the show will be provided by the local college radio station KFJC 89.7FM ( http://www.kfjc.org ) with variety of music.

Kudo's to Rick Spohn and the rest of the brass at GGCVVWCA.
Great to see the Ghia's 50th as the focal point of this years Kelley Park Event.

Which Sunday is the show in April? I seem to recall last time I went it was the same weekend as daylight savings and I was late.
