Changing the title of this thread would be great. |

For reference, this is Titian red which is similar but not quite the same.
The doublecab is owned by Marc in California - it was featured in Hot VW's maybe about 10 years ago. |

Those last two are definately Marc's truck, now I'm not sure about the first one. That could be someone else's notice rear safari and overrider bumpers.
Awesome color though. |

Go to Lowes or such and get a lot of dark red paint chips. When you find the one that matches what you see on your monitor, go to the auto paint store. _________________ Judy

Are you sure that isn't SWR? It is a '62 which would be correct. The first looks like maybe '63? which would be Ruby Red, no? _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

It's not the same bus. And that may not even be a stock VW color. Could be from tons of other makes. _________________ 53 Hatch Barndoor

Those are two different cabbies. The first one on stock rims was built here in Idaho by a long-time bus builder and friend of mine about 6 years ago. It's also shown on Busware's website for canopy promotion. _________________

Emilh... it's been stated as Ruby Red. Maybe clarify what else you are trying to determine.

Sorry about my delayed response to this thread- kinda got lost in the Holidays. Here's the information direct from the builder of the double cab from Boise:
Body: Factory Ruby Red, L456, applied in two-stage. The color is very slightly tinted because of the clear.
Wheels/bumpers: Factory Silver White, L82 in single stage.
Even the pedal pan is factory grey. Bradford _________________
