So...how was the trip!?!?!?

I really wish I could have gone... Stupid annual vacations that fall on MLK weekend...

Great trip! The drive up was absolutely beautiful, I can say I've done the tail of the dragon now (in a bus no less), there was a little snow on the ground as we drove through the Cherohala Skyway, and we even went off-roading a little bit. Finally along the Tellico river we settled on a beautiful spot right by the river and camped for two nights. It was cold, but pleasant. We all had a great time and I'm down for doing this again next year.

It was a lot of fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat, however, I have a baby due December 30th so it'll take some convincing.

I talked to Jeff a couple of weeks ago about it and he said yes definitely another trip is planned next year, details will be posted in early January. I can't wait, last January was my first one and it was one of the best trips all year.

I am in the route planning stages now, I have pre-run some of the trip already.

Next year's event will be like the last one in that we will be primitive camping, although the elevations will be higher and more Forest Service roads will be traveled. The route will favor NE Ga./ Western N.C., details on the specific route and a time table for anyone wanting to catch us along the way will be posted in early January.

Mark your calendars for Saturday January 17th through Monday the 19th 2015.
